Supplies for moving house
Preparing to move is a massive undertaking. One has to think of many things including: advising all the people and companies that need to be aware of the change, items that will be required in order to prepare, organizing friends and relatives to help on moving day, and the time line available to organize the packing. Most of us have a tendency to keep a lot of items. Sometimes they are clothes or equipment we require for different seasons, or tools for vehicle repairs or outside work. When we begin to take an inventory of what must be packed for this event, it often motivates us to clear out and perhaps donate or give things away. This is especially true if we will be moving to a smaller residence or one where there will not be a use for outside equipment. Often people will organize a yard sale in order to dispose of items that are not essential. Having less to pack will make the undertaking easier. Making a master list of tasks to be accomplished will also help to reduce the inherent stress of moving.
Before we can actually begin the process of packing up our belongings, we should make a list of all the supplies we will require in order to facilitate the process. It can be surprising just what will be required. We must remember the many items to be included on the master list. Supplies for moving house will include boxes of various sizes, packing tape to reinforce and seal the boxes, paper for wrapping delicate items such as dishes, bubble wrap for those even more delicate things, identification tags for the boxes, a felt marker and a clipboard with pen and paper. The clipboard, pen and paper are used to create another list of box numbers and rooms indicating where they should be put at the new residence. This system enables the people manipulating the boxes to put them where they belong immediately.
